Sterling insect brooch
I'm not sure what kind of insect this is but he is wicked looking! The odd shaped faceted pink stone set at the rear of his body just adds to the wickedness. The gold wash is all but gone from the front leaving a nice patina. Surely a 1940's designer piece, but who?
Marked Sterling, it measures 2 1/2" by 1 5/8" and has gold wash loss and age appropriate patina.
